The Richard Hunt Studio Center in Benton Harbor is a dynamic community resource in the making. As the former satellite studio of American sculptor Richard Hunt, it is a space that honors Hunt’s legacy and spirit, his practice of making art public, and his commitment to the studio as a catalyst for development and innovation.

Based on the results of a year-long study IN THE COMMUNITY OF Benton Harbor, the outstanding legacy of american SCULPTOR Richard Hunt, and the importance of the arts to self expression and skill building,

the vision is to re-open the Richard Hunt Studio Center in Benton Harbor first for COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING and EXHIBITIONS, then for courses in WELDING and WOODWORKING as pathways to the arts and trades.
